Dan Johnson ...was born in Cincinnati and dreamed of being a DJ since his dad taught him how to splice reel-to-reel audio tape together. In high school he realized that he was destined for greatness, possessing an avid love for music - both playing and listening, although not quite able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Graduating in the top 1 percent of his class and voted Most Likely to Succeed by his High School senior class, he had dreams of travelling to the Far East and playing jazz music full-time.
An unsuccessful attempt to join the US Marine Corps and doing time at the University of Cincinnati, he became a Civil Engineer with no desire or skill to practice it. Two important life-changing events occurred during that time: he became a Christian, and he found the love of his life.
A few career changes later, doing everything from environmental management to bartending, he now finds himself back as a computer programmer of desktop applications, enjoying life with his wife and daughter, and his dog and cat, back in Cincinnati.
In 2002, he started the
Journey Inside My Mind blog , which eventually split off into several other blogs. In 2005 he discovered podcasting, and in August 2005, he began the
Journey Inside My Mind podcast , where he helps listeners answer to question:
